Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager to oversee operations across our bakery manufacturing and restaurant foodservice divisions. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with food standards, drive operational efficiency, and lead teams to deliver high-quality products and services. This role requires a strong background in bakery management and foodservice, combined with leadership and business management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations in both bakery production and restaurant services.

  • Ensure full compliance with UK food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Oversee quality control, production schedules, and workforce management.

  • Implement and monitor operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.

  • Lead, train, and motivate staff to achieve high performance.

  • Manage supplier relationships, inventory, and cost controls.

  • Prepare reports and liaise with senior management on performance outcomes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in foodservice and bakery operations.

  • Knowledge of food safety standards, audits, and compliance regulations.

  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and operational KPIs.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Management (essential).

  • Food Standards Certification (essential).

  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Bakery (essential).

  • Proven management experience in foodservice, bakery, or hospitality sectors.
